Founded in 2013 by Sarah Smith and Kevin Long, The Dyrt's mission is to expand the camping community and help more people enjoy the outdoors.
The platform receives over 30 million annual camper visits and hosts 4 million user-generated reviews and photos of US campgrounds. The Dyrt PRO, a $36/year subscription, offers free camping area searches on public lands, offline functionality, and camping discounts.
The Dyrt raised $11 million in Series B funding in 2021 and was the first major platform to offer commission-free bookings for campgrounds. Featured by The New York Times as an "extremely useful" app for national park visits.
